I slice my chuck roast into 1" slices. This step is totally optional though.
Add your roast to the crockpot or slow cooker.
(This step is also optional.) Sprinkle your roast with a little Tony Chachere's Seasoning.
Next, sprinkle your packet of dry Ranch Dressing Seasoning onto your roast. (I usually only use about 1/2 - 3/4 of the packet but some people do sprinkle the whole packet).
Then sprinkle your packet of dry Au Jus Gravy Mix onto your roast.
Slice your stick of butter into 1/2" sections and place on top of your roast.
Place 4 or 5 Pepperoncini peppers in the pot.
Cook on low for 6 - 8 hours.
