Instant Pot Jasmine Rice Cook Time
The cook times for your Jasmine Rice is listed below for 1 cup, 2 cup, or 3 cups. If you are also wondering, “what is the ratio of water to rice for jasmine?”………We also list the amount of water that is needed to cook each for a quick reference guide. Our printable recipe below is for 2 cups. The cook time remains the same. It is 5 minutes of high pressure and 10 minutes of a natural release. In case you dont already know a natural release is when you let the pressure cooker sit for 10 minutes after the timer completes. The pressure is slowly releasing on its own. Then once it has done this for 10 minutes you can turn the knob or press the button, depending on which model of Instant Pot you have, and the rest of the pressure will be quickly released. Warning though the steam is still hot so protect your hand when doing this.

- 2 Cups Jasmine White Rice
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 Tablespoon of Butter
- 1 Teaspoon of Salt

#1. First, rinse 2 cups of Jasmine Rice until the water runs through clear.
#2. Next, add your 2 cups of Jasmine Rice, 2 cups of fresh water, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 1 teaspoon of salt to your Instant Pot.
#3. Then, close the lid on your Instant Pot and set it to cook at high pressure for 5 minutes.
#4. Once the timer runs out let your Instant Pot naturally release for 10 minutes. Then do a quick release of any pressure that is left. Be careful when quick releasing the pressure because the steam coming out is very hot. It is best to use a long spoon or towel to release the pressure.
#5. That’s it! Your Instant Pot Jasmine Rice is now ready to be served. You can lightly fluff it and serve it as a side or eat it as your main course.
