This Instant Pot Flank Steak is so delicious and can be paired with almost anything for a quick and easy meal. We usually serve it with rice or potatoes the first night and then use up the leftover meat the next night by preparing Instant Pot Shredded Flank Steak Streat Tacos or fajitas with them. Flank steak is a very lean piece of meat containing very little fat. When you pressure cook it in the Instant Pot you get a very lean, flavorful, and tender meal!

How long do you cook flank steak in an Instant Pot?
We cooked our flank steak on high pressure for 30 minutes.
Ingredients – Instant Pot Flank Steak
- 5 lb Flank Steak
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
- 1 Tbsp. Cajun Seasoning (or seasoning of choice)
- 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
- 1 cup of Chicken Broth
Instructions – Instant Pot Flank Steak
#1. First, put your Instant Pot on Sauté (high) and add two tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil.
#2. Next, add your Flank Steak, Cajun Seasoning (or your seasoning of choice), and Garlic Powder. Brown your meat scraping the burnt/browned pieces off the bottom of the pot (use a utensil that will not scratch the bottom of your pot).
#3. Then add 1 cup of Chicken Broth and 2 Tbsp. of soy sauce and stir all together.
#4. Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.
#5. Next, press pressure cook button. Then press pressure level button until high is selected. Set timer for 30 minutes. **Please note- If your Instant Pot is still on sauté mode you will need to press “Cancel” then “Pressure Cook”.
#6. Now you prepare any sides that you want to serve with your Instant Pot Flank Steak.
#7. After the timer has completed allow your Instant Pot to naturally release all of the pressure. This usually takes about 20 minutes depending on the size of your Instant Pot. Then turn the steam release valve to “Venting” to release any remaining steam. **Warning – The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
#8. That’s it! Serve your Instant Pot Flank Steak and enjoy! 😊

If you double the meat, do you add more time? I was going to stand the flank steak up around the trivet like I do with ribs so the meat doesn’t “glue” together. Thanks for your help. I’m excited to try this recipe.
