This Easy Instant Pot Chicken Spaghetti Recipe is definitely one of the best! It is cheap and easy! You don’t have a ton of different ingredients to buy and it cooks all together in just one pot. We use the 8 qt. Instant Pot to cook this recipe. You can see the Instant Pot we have here. I also use a digital meat thermometer like this one.

Can I cook pasta in my Instant Pot?
You may be wondering if you can cook pasta in your Instant Pot. I wondered the same thing when I first purchased mine. Rather than cooking pasta in a separate pot on the stove you cook it all together in one pot….. your Instant Pot. I really like the flavor when I pressure cook my pasta in the sauce. The noodles absorb the flavor of the sauce.
Also, your noodle cook time, when cooked at high pressure in your Instant Pot, is usually half of the cook time that is listed on your noodle package.
What should I serve with my Instant Pot Chicken Spaghetti?
We normally always make garlic bread with any type of spaghetti. And this may be kind of a side note…..but, we like to make spaghetti sandwiches with the leftovers. It is so delicious! You reheat your spaghetti then put cold butter on a fresh slice of bread. When you make a fist sandwich the hot spaghetti heats up the butter!!! It is probably not the healthiest but it is definitely good!
Other suggestions to pair with your Instant Pot Chicken Spaghetti are listed below.
- Fresh side salad – we like to add chopped up lunch meat to ours
- Cold vegetables with a dip – carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower
- Sliced cucumbers in Italian dressing
- Caesar Salad
- Asparagus
- Sauteed Zucchini and Squash
Ingredients – Instant Pot Chicken Spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 2 Tbsp. Tony Chachere’s — You can substitute for a seasoning of your choice
- Optional – 1 cup of pre-diced seasoning blend (onions and bell peppers)
- 2 lb. of diced chicken breast (raw and thawed)
- 1 – 24 oz. jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (we like Ragu Roasted Garlic)
- 1 ¼ – 24 oz. jar of water (after you have emptied spaghetti sauce jar, fill it with water)
- ¾ box – 16 oz spaghetti noodles
- 1 packet (tub) Knorr Chicken Stock
How to Make Chicken Spaghetti in the Instant Pot
#1. First, put Instant Pot on saute mode (high) and add 3 tablespoons of butter.
#2. Next, add your diced raw chicken breast, seasoning of choice, and seasoning blend (optional). Saute until chicken is cooked about half way through.
#3. Then add Knorr chicken stock, spaghetti sauce, and water. Stir all together well.
#4. Break your spaghetti noodles in three sections and crisscross them on top of the meat. Pat noodles down with a spatula so that they are mostly submerged in liquid. Do not stir. **Please note – If you place noodles on top of meat just as they come out of the package and not in a messy crisscross fashion they will get stuck together and will not cook correctly.
#5. Next, close the lid and turn the steam release valve to “sealing” position.
#6. Then press “Pressure Cook” button. Next, press “Pressure Level” button until you have selected “High Pressure”. **Please note- If your Instant Pot is still on saute mode you will need to press “Cancel” then “Pressure Cook”.
#7. Turn the timer on for 10 minutes. Once pressure builds up, the timer will start counting down. (Meanwhile, you can place some garlic bread in the oven to start warming up.)
#8. After the timer has completed turn the steam release valve to “Venting” for a quick release of steam. **Warning – The steam is very hot, use a towel to turn the release valve so it does not burn you.
#9. Finally, after steam has all released stir and serve. **Please Note – The longer you let it stand the thicker your sauce will get.
